CHINESE PORCELAIN FAMILLE VERTE VASE.
Dimensions: 36 cm high. Base 11.5 in diam., neck rim 11.5 cm diam. 19cm diam. at widest part.
Base is glazed with underglaze red six character seal mark, with oxidised rounded and striated unglazed footrim.
Probably Mid to late 18C.
Decorated with polychrome enamels reserved on a black ground. Two large
panels, one a of a pair of birds in a garden, the other of a pair of
phoenix in a garden scene. Six smaller panels including Buddhist and
Taoist symbols.
Foot and rim motifs and a nice lozenges and florets motif are characteristic of Chin Lung Period.
